Eric Gill and Guy Boyling have been successfully training Celebrants for over three years.
We have now developed a “Distance Learning Course” option.
This means that you can study on your own, in your own time, either at home or wherever suits you. Modules are delivered to you with suggested reading material. Activities include answering questions and assignments all assisting you to understanding the role, to deal with typical scenarios and learn how to handle certain situations that evolve in a Celebrant’s career – all with regular support from your tutor.
The “Distance Learning” course, consists of 5 modules to be completed by students, usually over 6 months or so, including assessment assignments. At the satisfactory completion of the “Distance Learning” aspect, all students will receive “Certificate 1”, indicating completion of the distance learning aspect.
It is expected that students will follow on and demonstrate their practical expertise at delivering a Funeral Service at a venue mutually agreed with the nominated “Tutor”, or on one of our arranged “Networking” days, where we plan meetings at a convenient central point to develop good practice and share experiences. The final “Certificate 2” will then be released, indicating completion of the course.
Local “Individual tuition” is still available, as are our usual “two to three day courses” in Sussex and Wiltshire, dependent upon the number of students.
