I believe that when we lose someone we love, it should be about celebrating their life.

It is such a sad time, but from experience, sitting and talking about your loved one is a great healer in itself.

I will be there to support the family through this tough time, working together to create a personalised Ceremony or service that is all about the person they have lost. 

Why did I become a Funeral Celebrant?

I had been working in education for 14 years, but after losing my mum suddenly it made me realise that I really needed a change.  Previous to that I had read the eulogies at a couple of close family members funeral services, and I received a lot of compliments after.  It was the help of the celebrant we had that gave me the confidence and when we sadly lost my mum, we requested the same celebrant to do her service with me taking care of the eulogy and gathering the strength to read that on the day, which I did. 

It was my dad that encouraged me to look at training to become a funeral celebrant.  It is usually others that see something in you that you don’t see yourself.

My empathetic nature and great listening skills along with the compassion and understanding are great assets to being a celebrant and I also have a counselling qualification.

I have a positive outlook on life, my moto is “there is always someone worse off than me” and “Life is for living”.

I am based in Melksham, where I grew up, and have a very supportive and loving family.

I am happy to travel to nearby surrounding areas outside of Wiltshire.
