Jade Watson

Hi, my name is Jade Watson, I have previously worked as a funeral coordinator for four years. I have now been a funeral Celebrant for just over a year, I love people and I love to help people when they are going through one of the hardest and most painful times in their lives.

A time that we will all have to go through ourselvesperhaps many times. The first funeral I took was for my Stepdad and I was asked if I was a professional Celebrant, by the Funeral Director, due to the way I led the funeral as if I had done it many times. This got me thinking and I decided during Lock Down I would train with the County Celebrants, to then be able to help other families say a heartfelt farewell to their loved ones.

Throughout our lives we gain different skills and character traits, and I know for myself I have a great sense of compassion for those who are hurting through bereavement. I now can put those skills and my natural way of caring and showing compassion into my career as a Funeral Celebrant.

I love my job it is such a privilege to do a final act of service for a person before they leave this world. I am very happy to lead services for people with a faith or those who may not have a faith.

Each one is very much tailored around the person who as passed away, and from listening to theirfamily I catch a glimpse of them when they were alive and living their life, making precious memories with their loved ones.

The following are just some of the lovely commentsfamilies have sent to me after I have taken their loved one’s funeral service.

Good morning, Jade, thank you for the kind words! And for your help with the service which was so personal and beautiful as many said. You certainly made a very painful day a lot less painful with the compassion you showed us all during the service. I am really glad that you were our celebrant. X

Good morning

I would just like to say thank you Jade, for the lovely send-offyou gave my brother, Barry.

It was just what he would have liked and appreciated. I know all those that attended agreed it was so good.

Thank you again for making a difficult day easier for us all.

Kind regards

Michael

Thank you for your message, it was a tough day on Sunday but we all feel better after the lovely day you delivered for dad on Thursday. We had lovely feedback about the way you led the service, especially the caring words you used during the committal part, and his music and the lovely flowers. There is no change in Mum just sleeping a lot more
