Being a funeral celebrant, I have the privilege of working with families who have chosen to honour their loved one’s life in unique and creative ways

The immense privilege of being a funeral celebrant has led me to understand immediately how important it is to be empathic, kind, friendly, thoughtful, and understanding, particularly at the saddest of times.

Most of all being flexible according to the families’ needs and beliefs, rather than my own, understanding meaningful rituals, and carrying them out sensitively.

While traditional funeral services can provide comfort and closure, there are many ways to personalise a funeral to truly celebrate the life of the deceased.

It is important for me to maintain strong relationships with funeral directors, families, crematorium staff, and cemetery staff, and always be compassionate, reverent, professional, and respectful.

Being a celebrant is often wonderful work where I am flexible, interactive and creative, building memorable ‘celebration of life’ ceremonies for your dearly departed loved one.
