As well as being a funeral celebrant Sam is also a qualified wedding celebrant, able to officiate your wedding ceremony anywhere in Hungerford, Berkshire and the surrounding areas.

She will write and conduct the ceremony to suit your preferences, helping to make your special day everything you have always dreamed of.

Providing you have taken care of the legal bit, wedding celebrations can happen anywhere from a village hall to a country house. Wherever the venue, Sam can recommend and include beautiful vows and readings, thus creating memories that will last forever.

We cannot thank you enough for the incredible job you did officiating my dad Roger Daymond’s funeral. From the very first meeting with our family, we knew we had made the right choice. At such a difficult and emotional time, you immediately put us all at ease with your warm, caring, and compassionate nature.

What stood out to us from the beginning was the way you got to know Dad and our family. Rather than sitting us down and asking lots of direct questions, which can feel overwhelming when you are grieving, you simply had a natural and relaxed conversation with us. Through that conversation, you somehow managed to gather all the information you needed while making us feel comfortable and supported. It never felt like an interview; it felt like talking to someone who genuinely cared about understanding who Dad was as a person.

You really took the time to listen to our stories, memories, and experiences, and it was clear that you were truly invested in creating a service that reflected Dad’s life.

When we heard the tribute you had written, we were amazed. The words you put together were heartfelt, personal, and beautifully written. you captured Dad perfectly, right down to his personality, character, and the things that made him so special to all of us. It felt as though you had known him yourself.

On the day of the service, you were exceptional. You conducted everything with such professionalism, dignity, and compassion. The delivery was warm and sincere, and you guided the service seamlessly from beginning to end. You really did create an atmosphere that was both respectful and comforting, allowing us to celebrate Dad’s life while also acknowledging the sadness of saying goodbye.

What also meant so much to our family was the care and support you showed throughout the service. Several family members stood up to speak, and you were always there, quietly offering reassurance and a helping hand whenever it was needed. This kindness did not go unnoticed, and it made a huge difference to those of us who were finding the day particularly emotional.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but you helped make a very difficult day a little easier to get through. You gave Dad the most beautiful, dignified, and personal send-off we could have hoped for, and for that we will always be grateful.

I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a celebrant, whether for a funeral or any other important life event. You are compassionate, professional, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring that every service is meaningful and personal. We met Sam following my mother’s death, as she was recommended by our funeral directors to be our celebrant. She was the perfect choice. When she came to see us, Sam was compassionate and respectful, and asked us questions about the person Mum was in order that she could tailor the service to her (Mum’s) personality. She was helpful, encouraging and reassuring, and sent us her sections in advance for our approval. She also gave us a copy of the written service afterwards as a keepsake. The ceremony itself was just as Mum had requested – fun and colourful – not least thanks to Sam’s delivery. We had several people comment to us afterwards that it was ‘the best funeral ever’, which is testament to how Sam conducted the service. We can therefore highly recommend Sam as an excellent celebrant.
